Microsoft shared information about its earnings for three months (third quarter) and a nine-month period that ended on March 31, 2024. During the three months, Microsoft earned more money than the same three months in the previous year.

The money they made from selling products and services (called revenue) increased to USD 61,858 million from USD 52,857 million a year ago. The money they kept as profit after paying for all their expenses (called net income) also increased to USD 21,939 million from USD 18,299 million.

So, Microsoft made more money during this period compared to the same period last year.
